Then they try to delay so they don’t have to make the fatal moves until a new

....player(president) of their chosing is seated at the chessboard.
With 52% approval rating THEY will not get a new player and the delay tactic will not work.
Now THEY try to forcefully remove him from the game(impeachment) so they can once again insert a new player
