For the rest, he may be a pop-singer turned religious scholar, but for me Junaid Jamshed was and still the only man who can be perfectly painted in words as a "True Muslim" and a "Remarkable Pakistani".

I still have vivid memories of the very first moment I had with him back in 1997 in Rawalpindi. As just a 7 years boy, I was beyond astonished to see a legendary Pop Star in flesh right in front of me! That was my first of the many exhilarating encounters with my hero!

In early 2016 (last time) where I asked him about Islamabad Airport incident & he with a blessed smile, that symbolises him, was like "Beta! itni mushkileen naa aaen tou pata kesy chaly k emaan wala kon hai?" So subtle he was, at hinting towards the real purpose of life!

His father Air Cdre (R) Jamshed Akbar Khan was a veteran of PAF. Having spent his entire life as a PAF brat, inculcated in him, the sense of patriotism and devotion to the motherland. Pakistan Air Force was in his blood and he was an undisputed part of PAF.

His love for PAF culminated when after graduation from UET Lahore as an engineer he joined PAF as a civilian contractor and engineer.

PAF honored this un-uniformed soldier by repaying his love and affection for the Air Force and give him guard of honor after his tragic demise in Air Crash on December 7th 2016.
