A thread of anime series from this decade I enjoyed 🤪
-Goes in chronological order (seasonal) and includes dates of the first installment of the series to the release date of the latest completed series

-Kinda an anime recommendation thread ig??
-Continuing anime will NOT be included in this unless the second installment was released in 2010 and not the 2000s. The only exceptions to this rule are shonen anime.

With that out of the way, let's begin. 🤠
ONE PIECE (1999-20??)🤪🤪

- A very expansive world (makes me wanna cry how much of a master oda is at worldbuilding)

-Great characters

-Memorable arcs

-I love one (1) sword man
DURARARA!! (2010-2016)

Also, I deadass used the actual dollars website when I found out about it 💀💀💀💀💀
ANGEL BEATS (2010)

-Up there with Horutabi no mori e and Your Lie in April as one of my favorites in it's 'category'

- I fell so hard for this cast, they're all great.

- The progression from the start to the end was mwah.
SHIKI (2010)

-VAMPIRES. VAMPIRES. VAMPIRES. VAMPIRES. VAMPIRES. V A M P I R E S.

- Yes, YES, YES. EVERYTHING ABOUT THIS IS SO GOOD.

HUNTER X HUNTER (2011-2014)

-As someone who couldn't really get into long series. Hunter x Hunter managed to change that (along with OP and JJBA.) Each arc was so investing (except for greed island 💀), characters were great, and the music was 🔥

-I love Killua's development 🥺
and speaking about JOJO
JOJO'S BIZZARE ADVENTURE (2012-2019)

-One of my favorite animes. Each part is so unique in it's own way. If I had to choose, I love Part 4 and 5.

- There's so many
dumbass characters that I love in this series (mista, polnareff, okuyasu, etc.)

KAMISAMA HAJIMEMASHITA (2012-2015)

-Nanami is a great protagonist. I love her so much as well as Tomoe and his stupid ass kdffhjkhfjk.

-Style is really pretty and soft.
THE DANGANRONPA: THE ANIMATION SERIES (2013-2016)

-First installment of the series is what got me into Danganronpa and how I spent most of my decade having brainrot for it 🤪

-First series is really enjoyable on it's own, the other two installments (mainly despair arc) are +
really good if you get into the games after watching the first installment.
BLOOD LAD (2013)

-V A M P I R E VLKHJKVHJKBHDFK (first anime that raised my interest in vampires)

- Story is pretty good. Characters were great but I wish I could've seen more of them 😔

-Style is mwah. The colors are nice to look at

- B A N G E R OP
YOWAMUSHI PEDAL (2013-2018)

-VERY UNDERRATED SPORTS ANIME, G O D D A M N

-Very hype at times and Oda is a fuckin' dork

- 3-years, mwah. They're all so 🥺

-Made me wanna go cycling at least ONCE
DAIYA NO ACE (2013-2020)

-While watching the first season, I felt so inspired by the third years and their ambition.

-Actually made me pay attention to my least favorite sport ever 🤡

-Soundtrack is so memorable.

-Very varied cast of characters (like haikyuu.)
-Chris 🥺🥺
NORAGAMI (2014-2015)

-Another one of my favorite series

-Beautiful anime tbh

-I miss everyone from this anime a lot 😔
PARASTYE (2014-2015)

-Concept 🔥🔥🔥 and Shinichi is a goat

-WHY DID IT TAKE SO LONG FOR ME TO WATCH IT. IT'S SO GOOD, OH MY GOD. THE STORY AND CHARACTERS ARE 😤🔥
DEATH PARADE (2015)

-The whole fuckin' aesthetic of this anime is right up my alley. The design of the lobby is so pretty.

-Playing games involving death? Pretty 🔥 if you ask me

-Shit. Man. How it ends.

-I miss clavis
ASSASSINATION CLASSROOM (2015-2016)

-I loved the idea of having your teacher be a mentor & a target. The comedy was really good and the story was mwah. Season 2 is where it got more interesting though. Season 1 was great and all, but the show really shines in the second. +
-Huge cast, there's someone for everyone. And each of them had their moment to shine in some parts of the anime. I really loved a lot of the cast, but Karma had to be my favorite. I loved his ass since the episode he was introduced.

-I miss them a lot tbh, it's been 3 years +
this anime still holds a place in my heart. Definitely another favorite of the decade.
SHOKUGEKI NO SOUMA (2015-2019??)

-Cooking anime? HELL YEAH. I've learned more about food than I ever have in my life because of this anime fdkjkgjljhl

-Diverse cast with a variety of cooking styles and specialties (seafood, french, udon, etc.) I love (1) spicy boy.
-Can be hype at times and really good.
OWARI NO SERAPH (2015)

-*bangs pots and pans* MIKA AND
SHIHOU BEST BOYS. I LOVE THEM.😤
ONE PUNCH MAN (2015-2019)

-Wasn't sure what I was expecting when I saw the first poster back in 2015, but HOLY SHIT did this anime deliver.

-Animation is mmmmmmmm 🔥🔥 (season 2 tho is ok, not the best but fine.)

-Story mmmmmmm, I love the mix between the extreme and the
mudane within Saitama's life. But then there's also the characters like Genos, who admires Saitama and keeps getting upgrades but get his ass BEAT everytime dkgjkhkj. And Garou,,,,,,,,,he is such a good character like damn.

-Metal bat 🥺❤️
AJIN (2015-2016)

-Underrated 3-D anime. Where's the love for Ajin seriously.

-Concept is very sexy, the designs for Ajin are also unique and interesting to look at. Like mwah. Kei's journey from the first episode to s2 is 👀

-Characters are ok, really a hit or miss for each of
them.
SHOUWA GENROKU RAKUGO SHINJUU (2016-2017)

-I FUCKIN' L O V E THIS ANIME SO MUCH, IT'S ONE OF MY FAVORITES OF THE DECADE.

-Rakugo is such an interesting Japanese performance art.

-The characters all have a lot of depth, motivation, conflictions, and chemistry. Especially
Yakumo and Sukeroku's chemistry. Yakumo's whole arc is just mwah from start to end.

-I love this fuckin' cast just as much Bakuman's cast, I love all them all so much. I WANT THEM BACK.

-The drama in this show is MWAH, the S Y M BO L I S M in the openings is JUST AAAAAAAAAAA,
the art style so nice to look at, and the voice acting is mwah.

MY HERO ACADEMIA (2016-2020)

-When I watched this back in 2016, I thought the story about a kid who was quirkless outcast becoming a hero was really cool. And seeing his growth as I grew older and as seasons past was really nice to see.

-A huge ass cast like Assassination
Classroom. Likewise, there's someone for everyone in this series and I think that's great.

-I absolutely loved Todoroki's character arc in Season 2, he 's one of my favorites in the series. The sports festival arc tbh really was 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

-Good OPs and memorable moments
throughout each of the four seasons.

-MIRIO, DABI, TAMAKI, JIROU, KIRISHIMA, MOMO, TODOROKI, HAWKS 🥺❤️🥺🥺❤️❤️🥺🥺❤️❤️🥺🥺❤️❤️

-Overhaul is 👀👀👀👀
BUNGOU STRAY DOGS (2016-2019)

-The abilities being based of the book titles of the author based character's? MWAH

-Cast is great. Chuuya is especially great because of the bad apple as well as Fifteen. Gremlin.

-Soundtrack man, mmmmm love hearing Lotus juice in anime, but
also the jazzy stuff is 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

-First season was very enjoyable for me and it kept getting better with each season. Style is 😤🔥

-Guild arc? Mwah

-Season 3 and Fyodor 👁👄👁

-One of my favorite series

-OPS AND EDS ARE BOPS
TANAKA KUN IS ALWAYS LISTLESS (2016)

-Chillest anime I've ever watched besides Natsume's Book of Friends. Really cozy too tbh

-Jokes are good, hit or miss depending on your type of humor

-S O F T. VERY S O F T.

-Characters are great. Mwah, love them. MIYANO BABY🥺
MOB PSYCHO 100 (2016-2019)

-The stylization of this series is absolutely peak spicyness. The art style is nice to look at and the animation during psychic scenes is chaotic, but appealing.

-The story is as good as the art. Seeing mob learn about the world around him
and how he is connected to the spirit world and the human world. And how he deals with the situations he's put into. Reigen is also a great mentor character to Mob but has a lot faults. And this is also acknowledged a lot within Season 2.

-Season 2 was just me crying over Mob
so much and how proud I am of him. But also, Reigen.

-There's so many gags in this series, I love it.

-The bodybuilder club is supportive of Mob, I can't. We---😭😭😭

-MOB IS SO GOOD IN SEASON 2

-I'M THE PROTAGONIST OF MY OWN LIFE 🥺😭
RELIFE (2016)

-HELL FUCKIN' YEAH. THIS WAS SUCH A GOOD ANIME AAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

-The comedy slapped so hard and the characters were so likable. Kaizaki was also a great guy.

-*rattles cage* OOGA AND KARIU

-I love the small touch of the ending theme changing with each episode.
-I need fuckin' more of this anime, but I know damn well they won't give me it
ORANGE (2016)

-Honestly when she gets a letter from herself in the future mentioning ___________ is no longer with them, it really piqued my interest as what exactly happened to her classmate.

-Was also wondering how the fuck they would prevent the scenario through the entire
series

-Wish I had friend group like them in my life growing up, oof.

-Suwa 😔

-Kakeru is so cute please, I love him and would die for him to happy.

-Ending made me hard cry
NANBAKA (2016-2017)

-Very fuckin' colorful & vibrant, but in a good and controlled way

-The characters are really eccentric and I fuckin' love it. The comedy is mwah too. Really good comedy period

-Damn, I wasn't expecting it to get serious later on, but it did, it was spicy.
LITTLE WITCH ACADEMIA (2017)

-I FUCKIN' LOVED THIS ANIME WHEN IT CAME OUT. IT'S SO STYLIZED AND I'M GLAD TRIGGER MADE THIS INTO A SERIES. I OWE TRIGGER MY LIFE.

-I loved seeing Akko try her best even though she wasn't born with magic like the other characters were. But also,
she was relatable too.

-Amanda is such a fuckin' queen

-I NEED ANOTHER SEASON OF THIS DESPERATELY
MADE IN ABYSS (2017)

-I guess what's best about this show was the unknown aspect of The Abyss and the world building that gets expanded upon the further we, as the viewer, are shown the abyss. But it also gives us a look at how human curiosity is a wonderful but dangerous +
thing.

-Anyways, Reg is baby. I love my son.

-Damn did the last few episodes make me afraid 💀
KOI TO USO (2017)

-Government assigned partner? SCREW THE GOVERNMENT. Okay, but real talk, I really like the idea of this anime.

-Both of the girls are great in their own ways. In fact, they're probably the best part of this series. Protagonist is bit plain? But I guess that
was the point.

-YUSUKE? HE DESERVED FUCKIN' BETTER AND I WILL FIGHT ANYONE WHO SAYS OTHERWISE.

-Has one of my favorite openings. Like damn.
WELCOME TO THE BALLROOM (2017)

-Really good sports anime that doesn't get talked about a lot tbh.

-Boy, do I really love anime series where the main protagonist falls in love with a new thing that they're introduced to. This is no exception, I love how interested Tatara is in+
ballroom dancing.

-The animation goes off in some episodes of the series to create really beautiful imagery and scenes. Like mwah. Love how they intensity added to certain dances.

-Tatara's growth as a dancer is mwah. Loved where he started and loved where he ended. +
And the supporting cast was also great 😤
BLACK CLOVER (2017-20??)
-Gotta admit, I was excited for this anime way back in 2017. Cause I read the first chapter in 2015. People shat all over it, which swayed my opinions. But, I came back to give it a second chance like this year? And I enjoyed it.

- Good cast of +
varied characters. Magic has a sorting system, each house is unique. Black Bulls and Crimson Lions are 🔥🔥🔥

-Fuegoleon & Zora 😤😤😤😤😤

-First four arcs are a hit or miss. 5th arc is where it starts to get actually spicy.

-The amount of magic in this series is insane. +
Some of the magic types are stupid, but most of them are cool. Some of them are wild af tho.
VIOLET EVERGARDEN (2018)

-One of Kyoto Animation's most stunning works ever. The art and animation is done so beautifully and you can absolutely tell they put a lot of passion into their series

-And with that animation, the characters and stories within each episode are +
also great. This anime has managed to make me fuckin' cry hard over fuckin' letters again. Goddamit.

-Violet is a great character and seeing her growth as an individual was 🥺
A PLACE FURTHER THAN THIS UNIVERSE (2018)

- You ever thought a dream was so impossible that you couldn't ever accomplish it in your lifetime? Well, A Place Further Than This Universe makes the impossible possible. AKA THESE GIRLS GO TO ANTARCTICA, LIKE HOLY SHIT.

- The story +
is great. We get to know each girl and their struggles and motivations. All with a shared goal of wanting to get to a place not many have explored, a place further than this universe. But it also deals with youth and wanting to make the most out of time as adolescence.
-I would also die for these girls
GAKUEN BABYSITTERS (2018)

-FUCKIN' BABY ANIME. BABY BABY BABY BABY BABY BABY BABY 🥺

-Seriously tho, this anime is probably the softest shit I'll ever watch besides Cardcaptor Sakura. When I say it's soft, it's S O F T.

-Just a general good watch if you want a change of pace
from your usual shit
GOLDEN KAMUY (2018)

-Dumbasses. Dumbasses and crazy bitches everywhere. But seriously, this anime is a fun watch. Bunch of wild shit happens and it's funny as hell.

-Sugimoto. 🥺 Asirpa.🥺 Koito.🥺

-I wanna k-word Tsurumi. Hate that ugly crazy ass with his exposed brain.
CELLS AT WORK (2018)

- I learned some much more about cells in this anime than in school lmao. Tbh, I loved how small bits of information about each cell type were actually shown in the characters (like red blood cell being transporters and etc.)

-Very fun watch. Comedy in +
this show is kinda a hit or miss depending on your type of humor.

-Platelets baby 🥺🥺🥺
RUN WITH THE WIND (2018-2019)

-One of my favorite animes from 2018/2019 and one of my favorites overall. This series was just so GOOD.

-Every character from Kansei was so full of life. Prince in particular, I could myself in a lot.
With him being not as fit as the other characters, but still trying and working hard. His arc in the story was one of my favorites.

-We get to each of the characters get developed and some way. That by the time we reach the actual race, we experience the same ups and downs +
as the characters.

-Absolutely beautiful animation. Which instantly reminded me a little of both Haikyuu and Welcome to the Ballroom. The scenery and some scenes in particular are absolutely gorgeous to look at.

-I MISS THEM ALL GODDAMIT 😔😤😔😤😔😤😔😤😔😤😤
TSURUNE (2018-2019)

-Sports anime about Archery? Hell fuckin' YEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH

-Yet again Kyoto animation does it again, the art is really fuckin' great and the story is mwah. The characters are all mwah.

-Just,,,,,just,,,,watch this anime. GIVE IT THE ATTENTION IT
DESERVED WHILE IT WAS AIRING 😤😤😤
