Effort is everything

There is something special about someone trying.

Maybe I asked for a pair of #Tiffany studs for Christmas, but I get a pair of #Swarovski earrings instead ----> I'd still be happy because of the effort that was made

A person that cares makes an effort...

Some of you are in relationships where most of the effort comes from you

If you don't call, there is no talking

If you don't message, there is no messaging

If you don't suggest an outing, there is no going out

Been there, done that, got the T-shirt!

It hurts!

In my case, because I was eager-to-please I would set the texture of the situationship by doing too much, too soon. (I have looked back on my life. I had situationships. Hard to admit but ya)

There is a "too much too soon"

The other person quickly figures you out and it's overs

After a while, you want your person to do stuff for you

Like the random phone call during the day.

But why should they make the effort because they know that you're going to call?

So this December, take a good honest look at your relationship or situationship

If you're always doing stuff. If you're always suggesting outings. If you're always giving money, gifts, your time, etc ... take a step back. It's not easy. But try it. Hold back a bit and see if any effort comes from the other side

You'll learn a lot about your relationship
