Why it only makes sense for #buddie to happen

Leaving aside the deep family dynamic they have built with Christopher and the fact that 3/4 of their scenes are now romantically-coded, the following are reasons why it’s just logical from a show standpoint:
1) The regular cast is established at this point. Everybody is coupled up with each other except for Buck and Eddie. To have them with other people means they would have to introduce two more series regulars onto the show. This cast is large enough already.
2) They had the chance with Buck and Abby but it didn’t work out and she left (s1). They had the chance again with Shannon and Eddie but it didn’t work out and she died (s2). Since then neither men has shown SERIOUS interest in anyone else but each other (and no, Ali dsnt count).
They have intrinsically linked these men’s story to one another. They act like a couple. They parent Chris. They have family night. Buck “leaving” Eddie bc of the lawsuit is canonically paralleled to Shannon leaving him. He took it personally and made it about their relationship.
If they still want buddie to seem “straight”, at some point they’ll have to put them in relationships. But without adding more regulars to the cast, those relationships will always be shallow and not developed, existing in the background. Who wants that for either of these men?
#Buddie has been proven to be super popular, not just in fandom spaces but the audience at large. This show is already diverse, including multiple poc and lgbt characters. Nobody who would have a big issue with diversity would be watching at this point anyway.
The chemistry between Oli and Ryan is phenomenal. As well as between the cast at large. And everyone else at this point is already coupled up and grouped into their own family units, INCLUDING BUCK AND EDDIE. They just haven’t made it official yet. But think about it-
Bobby, Athena, May, Harry, and Michael. Maddie and Chim. Hen, Karen, and Denny. And of course Buck, Eddie, and Christopher. These groups and couplings have been shown together in their little units multiple times. They’ve found love and belonging in one another. So have buddie.
Feel free to add more like the blatant romantic coding/use of love songs/flirtation/etc. But bottom line: there’s no real reason it SHOULDN’T or COULDN’T happen. If it was a m/f pairing it most certainly WOULD happen. No reason two men should be different. #buddie #loveislove
I realize that I forgot the numbered part of my list eventually but all my points still stand
