Only a small % of plastic can actually be recycled.
The rest ends up in landfills & our oceans. They degrade into microplastics that end up in our food & water supply.

China used to buy a lot of our "recycling" for decades.

By burning what couldn't be recycled, China further polluted their air. Now they stopped buying & closed 2 our trash.

Now we send it to Malaysia, & pollute their air.

Malaysians are now dealing with more "recycling" than they could ever hope to catch up with, and even are dealing w/ illegal recycling factories that pollute the air that ppl need to breathe.

Because... capitalism? Ugh.
