The man who was brave enough to risk his life - and potentially also his chance of freedom, depending on how the parole board view what he did - strangled a young woman to death back in the early 2000s. Life is complex, people are complex.
People can be outstandingly brave and bewilderingly cruel in the same lifetime. I hope that people will focus as much on the hope we can draw from a man who once committed murder, yet grew into someone who was willing to risk his life to protect others, as much as terrorist fear
