No one, I repeat no one, who is grounded in dharmic tradition would want to do or support anything that goes against the dharma- precisely why i support Ukd govt move around Shrine board. We can always debate the nuances of this move & lobby to build safeguards to avoid misuse
The Divine pull of our Shrines is unquestionable and has been guiding dharmics for centuries now....everyone from devotee to temple pujaris, teertha purohits and those dependent on the economy built around Yatra are stakeholders. Important is to maintain the sanctity of d temples
The level of degradation being witnessed in the society has not left untouched the Pujari and teerth Purohit samaj as well; the stories of short cuts and greed are found in plenty; as also their attempts to give preference to their own economic interests by compromising dharma
Until a better and more efficient way of temple management for entire nation is found, it is important that govt readies our CharDhaams for huge no of devotees who come visiting every year- 34 Lakh was the number this year.....surely we need better facilities for devotees
Additionally, it is also important that dharmics are made aware of other seats of dharma present in Uttarkhand. If one were to explore little more-besides PanchBadri & PanchKedars, we have temples dedicated to Navagraha, KartikSwami, Kalimath, SidhPeeths, Moon God and many more
The move to form Shrine Board for better management and administration of 51 temples is a move that will not only help smoothen the Yatra experience but will also help Dharmics visit other places of interest that they are not aware of - how many even know of Gopinath jee
How many of you even visit Raghunath Jee at Devprayag or have visited Narsingh Temple at Joshimath or have visited Kalimath or Kalishila or Vishwanath jee of Guptkashi.....people even don’t take mandatory dip at Devaprayag for lack of information
It would help and further the cause of Dharma if Dharmics are made aware of powerful temples & places of religious importance in Uttarakhand & Shrine Board is a step in right direction. Those who cannot visit Baba Kedar at His dham can have His darshan at Ukimath during winters
Knowing the way I know CM @tsrawatbjp jee & I know him personally and have spoken to him about it- visited Ukimath with him once in 2014. That time only he had spoken of the need to popularise winter darshan for dharmics who can’t visit during summer months...
CM is now personally investing lot of his energies and efforts to popularise and modernise the temple where Sita Mata attained Samadhi.... the place in Phalswari will become a place of pilgrimage in next few years
The temple will be constructed with people and community participation with soil from all teerths and important religious places of the country besides with water of all the rivers of entire India. Phalswari is near our village and the region was known as Sitonsyun after Sita Maa
The misplaced outrage around Shrine board misses the point that even current system is nothing but a similar setup where Badrikashran and Kedarbhumi r managed by a temple committee - Badri Kedar Temple Committee - where a CEO of Govt manages the temple with political appointees
BKTC is responsible for management of BadriDham and KedarDham; whole there are separate temple committees for Gangotri jee and Yamunotri jee- with Semwal families and Uniyal families of respective winter seats of Maa Gangotri & Maa Yamunotri taking turns to run temple every year
Govt is now planning to replace the current set up with a much robust Shrine Board so that all the 51 temples are administered better and Yatra experience is expanded to cover more and more divine places of interest....
