Maybe an actual unpopular opinion: I don’t care if my kids cuss. If Axel is 5 and learning to ride a bike and crashes and says “oh fuck”, I’m gonna be like “oh fuck are you okay!? As long as it’s not derogatory towards someone, I don’t believe curse words are inherently bad.

It’ll be annoying if I have to go to his school and listen to his teachers tell me about what he said, but deep down I really will not care. I’ll probably say you’ll have to wait until you’re older, but if he asks why I really won’t have a good reason.

“I don’t know son, that’s just the way it is. Some people who died way before you were born decided that these SOUNDS are harmful.” It’s ludicrous. I’m not someone who even cusses a lot, but I still realize it’s a ridiculous concept.

Before you get upset or offended by anything, ask yourself this “was anyone hurt?” No? Then get over it.
