As certain elements in Western Media have chosen to take a bigoted approach & attack @TulsiGabbard on her religious faith, I found an interesting article that gives a good run down on why this is happening based on NPR's coverage of India, Hindus and Hindu Nationalism
We are being flooded with anti Hindu and Hinduphobic propaganda guised as criticism of one political party in India and it's democratically elected leader. They are gaining an audience here in America because Americans are unfamiliar with the history and culture of India.
This propaganda out of South Asia is being primarily fueled by Pakistan, the Communist Party of India, the Congress Party of India, and the AAP party of India. Pakistans motivations are easy to understand. The political parties of India are more difficult for Americans to grasp
These political parties oppose the Modi government & spread propaganda, lies & hate towards Modi in order to advance their own agendas. They care not about tarnishing the view of Hindus in the process, it's all political. Pakistan has a long history of hate towards India/Hindus.
In America, the establishment is doing all they can to stop Tulsi & her message of ending wars & corruption and leading with peace & diplomacy. As such, they are allowing and even spreading this propaganda themselves. Even @BernieSanders campaign is participating in the smears.
The reason this is bigoted & Hinduphobia is, @TulsiGabbard has nothing to do with Indian politics. They attack her due to her Hindu faith. She's a sitting US Congresswoman and Co-Chair of the Congressional Caucus on India and Indian Americans. It is her job to interact with India
Just as Tulsi gets called a Russian asset, an Assad apologist, a Republican, & more, the establishment is using the politics of India & Pakistan as weapons against her They are willing to demonize the democratically elected leader of a nation of over 1 billion people to do this.
We like to consider ourselves a nation of tolerance & acceptance for all races, all cultures, all ethnicities, all religions. But are we really? That's not what I'm seeing in our media coverage from the left as bigotry rears it's ugly head.
A friend a fellow @TulsiGabbard supporter, himself an Indian American of Hindu faith has watched this rise of Hinduphobia in America with alarming concern and produced a few videos in response. This is a dangerous game the establishment is playing.
Most of us know that in India, Hindus are a majority faith. Here is some information shared with me regarding Indias Constitution showing that the minority faiths in India are actually shown preference over the majority Hindu faith.
