We’ve been asked. And asked. This much, we can do.

I have been guilty of this. I have compared crossdressing to blackface. Black feminists have expressed that this feels shitty, that we’re bringing up painful, demeaning aspects of black history with no intention of actually advocating against racism directly while doing so.

I had an ex who would always compare being take advantage of to being raped. That felt like shit to me. I don’t know if it’s the same, but I do know I can discuss gender stuff just fine without making race comparisons. So.

I want black radfems to stay in this. Please.
