I tend to start a bit lower than most & increase if need be; I hate lowering amounts; also with more than 48 hours to onset of sig snow, fcst amounts will likely change over the next 2 days. Keeping it simple, like a general call of 6+ along and north of I-84 corridor. more...
With amounts to or above 10" psble; especially across Litchfield Cty; Mixed precip and rain will lower amounts moving southward across srn CT, but given setup totals above 4" are also very possible across many southern areas of the state. Reassessment will be needed.

This will be a very dynamic event given duration and energy involved and it may turn out that my #'s posted to my clients will need a significant upward adjustment. But given the nature of SNE snowstorms, I rather be too cautious now than too bullish...
