What books did you read and love this past year? I& #39;m having a quiet night, so here& #39;s a thread of books that got into my head. Please share yours!

I got totally obsessed with @marthawells1& #39; Murderbot Diaries. A grumpy robot grapples with the human condition and does murders.
Unfollow, by @meganphelps, blew my mind. It& #39;s not my usual kind of book (there are no animals or murderbots) but it really made my brain cook, in the best possible way.
Hollow Kingdom by @KiraJaneWrites is a book about animals, but it& #39;s really about humanity, all our gross bits and good bits, and grappling with questions about what& #39;s worth saving and eulogizing. Plus, small birds that swear so much.
This Is How You Lose The Time War by @tithenai and @maxgladstone is amazing and really hard to describe. It& #39;s like walking back and forth between two totally different but equally spectacular rooms in an art gallery. It& #39;s sensory overload, plus there& #39;s a v good pun about a seal
Wanderers by @ChuckWendig murdered me. I became a ghost. OoooOOOOooooOOOOooo, etc. It& #39;s way easier to sneak up on warblers now that I& #39;m non-corporeal.
Because Internet by @GretchenAMcC is just... amazing. I had to keep pausing to absorb it. The best book I& #39;ve read on language.
Shut Away by @CMckercher. I& #39;m EXTREMELY BIASED because she gave me life, but she also wrote a very good book so she& #39;s done 2 cool things. This book is all about her quest to find out what happened to her brother who had Down Syndrome. It& #39;s powerful and hard.
For biology, I loved The Vagina Bible by @DrJenGunter, The Field Herping Guide by Pingleton and Holbrook, The Field Guide to Flower Flies of NE North America by many folks, and other books I& #39;m forgetting. I have too many books in my house. I think they& #39;re load-bearing now.
