1/Concerned about sneaky legislation getting through Congress while we are all distracted by impeachment?

Did you know that You can create an account at https://www.congress.gov/  and sign up for email alerts, track legislation and follow activities of House & Senate?

#OneVoice1
2/ You can do searches for certain topics, like #GunControl and see who is co-sponsoring bills, and what the legislative support is on bills from certain Representatives and Senators. For example, I see #EdMarkey has co-sponsored a Gun Violence Prevention Research Act.
3/ From there, I can click on Ed Markey's name to get alerts so that I know when he is co-sponsoring and voting on bills.
4/ When you sign up to get alerts on activity from a particular Representative from http://Congress.gov , it comes in your inbox looking like this:
5/ From there, you can click on the name of the Rep or the bill and it will bring you to that page.
6/ Pay attention to the bottom tabs on http://Congress.gov , these tabs will allow you to see the summary, read the text, see who else is co-sponsoring, and what actions have been taken.

When you get email alerts for legislation it is sometimes too new to have a summary.
Another good website for tracking bills is http://GOVTRACK.US

This website gives you the % likelihood of passing. HR 4305 gives grant funding to support service dogs for veterans with PTSD. Has a 3% chance of passing, sadly. https://www.govtrack.us/congress/bills/116/hr4305
Let's contact Congress to pass H.R. 4305: Puppies Assisting Wounded Servicemembers for Veterans Therapy Act

Veterans with PTSD deserve our support!

Service Dogs do amazing work with Vets.
