So I babysit this 7 yr old girl every Friday and I’ve been using the @LifeOTPartyDND campaign as an on-going bedtime story each week and let me say, she is l o v I n g the characters in this adventure and I have some nuggets of amazing things that I need to say so here’s a thread
First and foremost, I need to add that I’ve been fitting each hour and a half episode into a 15 minute story so it’s far more simple and childish but she’s LOVING it
@roguearcanis character, sariel is her favourite! This little girl has been afraid of the dark for the longest time, but ever since she heard about sariel and her love of the moon, all I have to say is that sariel and the moon got rid of the monsters and she’s happy!
When I talked about Astra’s singing, she wanted to hear what he sung and since I’m not a singer I recited the poem I used to read every night called ‘Silver’ by Walter De La Mare which actually has quite a sylvan feel to it! (Hope that’s okay @0Becki !)
Every time ( @EvilCleverDog )Elyse does ANYTHING, she gets s o excited, I think I’m babysitting a tiny sorcerer
It’s possibly my love of Renard rubbing off on her, but @paperstorms character has a super calming presence in each of the stories I tell, and she was extatic when i told her the big plot reveal! Literally didn’t get her to sleep for AGES because she needed to know all about
Prince Ren but we still know so little so I had to be pretty evasive with my answers XD
Cassian’s crystal whip is her favourite weapon in the party and I have a lot of fun attempting to voice him to the correct levels of sas to do @electr0spectrum proud
Before bed, she always has warm milk, which has now been christened ‘Sweet tea’ in honour of the one and only Boblem! @catoftheparty
In conclusion, I hope it’s okay that I’ve retold your story to this little girl (who’s probably not old enough to watch the actual thing lmao), but you’ve really helped make bed-times a little more fun for us both. And Thankyou for the adventures I’ve been able to share so far!
