2/ If it is a "right to exercise a personal choice" it necessarily means that NO public organization may do anything in that sphere since the law refers to private citizens.
3/ In 2002 I wrote a science education story for a Brazilian science news magazine called Galileu. It was about how "incredible" and "dangerous" it was that there was such a thing as a creationist movement in the USA.

4/ I was asked to write this story after I shared with a friend my experience at the Tampa aquarium. Confused, I asked one of the biologists: "excuse me: where are the taxonomy trees that should be here" (I pointed to the place where they usually are.
5/ The employee whispered to me: "we can't do that, it's policy. There is serious conflict with the community if we do that". Looking at me wide-eyed and speechless, she continued: "there is a strong evangelical creationist presence here"
6/ That made me even more confused: so what? Educational content must be decided by scientists, scientist that must leave all their supernatural imaginary friends at the door when they go to work.
7/ "It's like that everywhere: science is the accepted truth in modern society". She replied: "not here".
8/ The one thing Brazil didn't need was to import this kind of garbage from the USA. Sadly, it is being done under Bolsonaro's criminal mob administration.
9/ It still baffles me. No, not true: it insults me as it insults what is most important in Civilization. It should insult anyone who values Civilized life.
