I blocked & reported this account as I suspect it’s a disinfo/trap account. Look at the harmful awful shit on here. Luring people into their acct with Harry Styles content and then calling queer people “filthy” and advocating for conversion therapy??

We all need to be careful on here... there are lots and lots of trap/disinfo/propaganda accounts and you have no idea who’s running any of this stuff or collecting information on who responds to a violent viewpoint. Be careful.

Just want to expand on this- I suspected this acct to be some sort of fake shit bc of the way it was interacting with people. The account posted a really inflammatory opinion about bisexual people and got ratio’d into the heavens.

A good way to maximize the amount of interactions you have on here is to post something really inflammatory, bc more people will see it and share it and be like “what the fuck” and respond to it...

For most ppl when a tweet (even a good tweet) goes viral, it’s very overwhelming - you often see people down thread saying “hey, i gotta mute this, it’s draining my phone battery” or, I’m tired of talking about it

That account @/harryisnotqueer just locked itself. Literally moments ago. Why are they tweeting so many consistently inflammatory really violent opinions, like how conversion therapy is ... a good thing? They must be doing that to get engagement

Also they’re talking about a singer who is really popular among younger folks. Meaning they’re trying to target younger people. If they were trying to target people of a diff age demographic it’d be a different account

So they talk about a singer, people engage w them bx they’re a part of the fan community, and then they’re tweeting out harmful garbage in an effort to reach as many people as possible with their violent opinions

Be careful out here y’all. I know we want and we should want to call out shit that’s harmful, but sometimes all we end up doing is engaging with a bot/prop account and amplifying the content for far more people to see

It’s okay to be skeptical of some of this content. I follow political bot accounts pretty closely, but this is the first time I’ve seen one that isn’t political. Really scary stuff. Most of our twitter friends are actually real pals & friends..

... so take what you know from your friends on here and apply that knowledge to see if certain accounts feel like a real (if anon) person is running it, or if it feels weird, or off
