Welp, that's it, I'm done with internet for the day. Just got yelled at for spreading "bigotry, lies, and hate" for sharing a post on Tumblr where someone had honestly answered the question "why do some people have issues with vegans?"

Most of my issues with (some) vegans come down to "y'all keep saying you can feed cats a vegan diet because you want to have a pet cat but you don't want to kill animals for your pet's sake." Rabbits exist! Rats exist! You're murdering your cat for your own peace of mind!

Cats. Cannot. Be. Vegan. Cats can potentially, with veterinary care, be vegetarian, but it's so rare and so hard that we don't really know what it does to their life expectancy. You know what cats prefer to be? Obligate carnivores.

I'm about to be on a no-solid-foods diet. My cats will still get solid food during this time. My diet does not dictate theirs. Their biological needs dictate their diet.

C...cool? Like, I don't think "many people have issues with vegans because of these things" in answer to an honest question is being mean, but you do you.
