The predictable consequences of unrestrained campaign finance deregulation and gerrymandering continue to turn the Ohio legislature into a dystopian nightmare brought to life: https://twitter.com/MollyJongFast/status/1200377977848156160
"A bill introduced by Ohio legislators requires doctors to 'reimplant an ectopic pregnancy' – a procedure that does not exist – or face charges of 'abortion murder.'

This is the 2nd time practising physicians have tried to tell Ohio legislators that the idea is impossible."

One would think the wild antics of Ohio's Republican lawmakers would lead to increased scrutiny over the leadership of the @OHDems, especially since Dems in Michigan and Wisconsin have won elections and restored some sanity despite similar challenges and worse demographics.
The Ohio Democratic Party is chaired by David Pepper, the son of a wealthy donor who was formerly CEO of Proctor & Gamble. Pepper was—incredibly but perhaps predictably—allowed to keep his job even after the Dems were swept in 2018's statewide races contrary to national trends.
You might be unsurprised to note that Pepper's Twitter feed is loaded with Russiagate conspiracy theories and Trump impeachment hysteria, with brief interruptions for things like breathless praise over Kamala Harris's performance at a recent debate ...
... as well as promotion of his own political novels(!!!) about things like "a Russian oligarch [who] rigs an American election." https://twitter.com/DavidPepper
There is absolutely no sign that Pepper is interested in the type of organizing it would take to beat back corporate greed so as to appreciably meet the ever worsening needs of Ohio's working people.
Less than a year until our extremely polarizing President goes up for reelection in a time of unprecedented and very explainable inequality and environmental crisis and the state's Dems are completely lifeless while Republicans spin further and more wildly into the twilight zone.
The time is beyond ripe for folks in Ohio to organize to do something about this.
Ohio isn't a red state, it's a bellwether state that's red now because its Democrats have abandoned working people while Republicans at least pay lip service to their concerns. https://twitter.com/ericdeamer/status/1200503875037540354
