For book-lovers on #BlackFriday... I thought it might be fun to start a thread about unique book-gift pairings. When our kids were young, they got bug nets w/ insect field guides, plush snowy owls w/ OWL MOON, and wands or chocolate frogs w/ the latest Harry Potter book. (thread)
I've had families tell me they love giving stuffed animals along with OVER AND UNDER THE SNOW, "magic pencils" with ALL THE ANSWERS, and notebooks (for kids to write their own stories) with BREAKOUT.
This year, a few people have asked about pre-ordering signed copies of CHIRP (out 2/4) for readers who love my books, so I'm offering a special holiday letter that you can wrap up or tuck in a stocking. And may I suggest that you also consider some roasted, flavored crickets?
Families...what are some fun, small gifts you've given along with favorite books? And authors-illustrators...what fun small gift would you recommend to go along with one of your books? (Feel free to include links!)
