So:
1) Don’t “staff” teaching centers with precarious workers
2) Don’t make faculty development remedial or shame faculty for doing this work
3) Don’t offer just a handful of one-off workshops with quick “fixes”
4) Don’t underfund “mission critical” work like preparing teachers

Instead:
1) Offer time and money for faculty engaged in teaching center programs
2) Create first year faculty programs
3) Teach ongoing courses for all faculty
4) Hire higher education pedagogy faculty to teach those courses
5) Support the research work of the teaching center
