1) Welcome back, shoppers.

2) Zen Master thought a little discussion of "censure" would be in order, so here 'tis.

3) It goes without saying that the first phase of the impeachment debacle had a stacked deck entirely favoring the DemoKKKrats.
4) All GOP proposals for witnesses were disallowed, Schifty used his power to block all discussion of Crackhunter Biden, and the name #ericciarmella was strictly prohibited.

5) In spite of this, the hearings flopped. So far, not one House or Senate R has come out for impeachment
6) On the other hand, four Dems (Brindisi, Axne, Lamb, and Van Dyne) have expressed concerns, and one, Brenda Lawrence Kerry, came out against impeachment before she was for it.

7) Reminder, Botoxic is already down two seats (the Bullfrog, who croaked, and Hill who stroked)
8) Suddenly the word "censure" began to surface. A Senate censure of Andrew Jackson was used in 1834 by the Whigs (forerunners to the GOP, but without anti-slavery). But three years later, when the DemoKKKrats gained control, they expunged the record.
9) Oops, forgot John Adams. The House tried and failed to censure John Adams in 1800. Then, after Tyler, the House passed a "quasi censure" of John Tyler in 1842, that was not an official censure; and a resolution condemning Pres. James K. Polk in 1848, but it was not adopted.
10) In 1871 the Senate introduced a censure of Ulysses S. Grant which was tabled; and in 1952 a House censure of Harry Truman failed to get floor consideration.

11) Other presidents to be threatened with censures that never passed were Richard Nixon, Bill Clinton . . .
11) contd . . . George W. Bush, and . . . Zero. Yep, the Kenyan was the subject of a censure movement, but no resolution was adopted.

Sorta like the DOJ's "decline to prosecute."

12) In this light, a House censure of President Trump would be less than nothing.
13) If the House actually included a fine in the censure, a court would strike it down.

14) A Senate censure would require 60 votes. Oops. That ain't happening.

15) What could President Trump do to respond?
16) He could sign an executive proclamation censuring Botoxic, Schifty, and Biteme. Again, this would be symbolic, but meaningless.

17) He could even censure Zero for his unconstitutional use of the recess appointments (that the Supreme Court invalidated).
18) Zen Master suggests Trump could even provide campaign merchandise with "Censured Speaker" and "Censured Schiff"---though I'm guessing this would be attacked as a breach of the emoluments clause.

19) Certainly, however, such would not stop someone like @rushlimbaugh . . .
19) contd . . . from doing so and giving the $ to charity as he has with his Betsey Ross merchandise.

20) In sum, a censure would open up more problems for the DemoKKKrats than simple failure to impeach.
