HRH Almarhum Sultan Ahmad Al Musta'in Billah Shah of Pahang was the first cousin of Her Majesty Permaisuri of Johor, Raja Zarith Sofiah ibni Almarhum Sultan Idris Shah II of Perak , in descent of The Almarhum Sultan Iskandar Shah, the 30th Sultan of Perak.

Raja Permaisuri of Perak, HRH Tuanku Zara, also descended from the Almarhum Sultan Abdul Hamid Halim Shah of Kedah, through her mother.

Her Highness Tunku Temenggung of Kedah, Yang Amat Mulia Tunku Puteri Intan Syafinaz ibni Almarhum Sultan Abdul Halim Al Mu'adzam Shah .

Her mother, the Almarhumah Sultanah Bahiyah, was the daugther of the 1st Yang Dipertuan Agong, Almarhum Tuanku Abdul Rahman of Negeri Sembilan.

Almarhum Tunku Besar Burhanuddin ibni Almarhum Yamtuan Antah's daugthers ; Almarhumah Tuanku Kurshiah & Tunku Ampuan Najihah, became the 1st & the 10th Raja Permaisuri Agong.

Their Majesties The Yang Dipertuan Agong Al Sultan Abdullah & Raja Permaisuri Agong Tunku Azizah's wedding in 1986 repeated the history of the union between two descendants of the Bendahara Tun Habib Abdul Majid of the ancient Johor Empire.

Her Majesty Raja Permaisuri Agong Tunku Azizah's father, Duli Yang Maha Mulia Almarhum Sultan Iskandar, married secondly to the Almarhum Tunku Puan Zanariah (Former Sultanah) who was also a member of The Kelantan Royal Family.

His Highness The Tunku Bendahara Abdul Majid of Johor, the only son of the Almarhumah Tunku Puan Zanariah, is married to Her Highness Tunku Teh Mazni binti Tunku Yusuf, a Kedah Princess.

Almarhumah Tunku Puan Zanariah's sister, was also at one time the Sultanah, as the consort of the Almarhum Sultan Ismail of Johor.

She is also a member of the Kelantan Royal Family as a great granddaugther of the late Sultan Muhammad II ( Long Senik Mulut Merah of Kelantan )
