I& #39;ve always had interest in the history and rights of indigenous people of the americas, but have never heard of the "Idle No More" movement prior to taking this course. I found a really good article summarising the movement https://askan8v.wordpress.com/2013/01/16/what-is-idle-no-more/">https://askan8v.wordpress.com/2013/01/1... 1/2 #gndr1000
It& #39;s crazy in my honest opinion how important movements like these are not more heard of, since the movement not only advocates for the rights of indigenous peoples, but also social and economic sustainability. 2/3 #gndr1000
What& #39;s even more impressive is that it& #39;s a movement originally formed by indigenous women, but has garnered support from thousands of native peoples and supporters. This is about being an advocate for human rights and understanding the threats to nature. 3/3 #gndr1000
