Sound Pellegrino Decennium marks the 10th anniversary of the label. 20 tracks selected by @TekiLatex & @djOrgasmic, from all the eras of Sound Pellegrino.
It was both a joy to go through the 300 tracks released on the label, and a terrifying task because there is so much, from so many people… it was more like "removing 280 tracks" than "selecting 20". So many hard choices.
Roughly half of these tracks are in our "greatest hits", and half of them are less-known gems that deserve as much love. And some of the most successful ones are not on it, because, well, they were too obvious.
Sometimes we had to leave out tracks we love, because they don’t reflect the artist’s current style at all. Sometimes because we had to cover all of the label’s eras. And sometimes for dumb distribution deal reasons.
What& #39;s for sure, when we& #39;re listening to Sound Pellegrino Decennium, is that we& #39;ve been incredibly fortunate to meet so many talented people and work with them, and become friends.
You might think "But all these tracks are already available. Why are you putting them in a compilation?".
Good question.
Good question.
Quite simply, generations and cycles are so short in electronic and club music, that we felt that people who got into it over the last few years may have missed out on a lot of great music we got to release.
And we had never done a release that encompasses all of it.
Some tracks from the early days of Sound Pellegrino (more sample-based) are getting played again, including by @TekiLatex & @djorgasmic, because they mesh so well with stuff released today. And all of them still sound so FRESH.
Plus Deke Soto (aka King Doudou, aka @HugoDouster), was a vinyl-only release we did in 2014, so his track "MOLLY MILLIONS" is available here digitally for the first time!

Every word in that thread remains true: when the label& #39;s not making any money, we can& #39;t make new things.
But the opposite is also true: We made some t-shirts this summer and they did really well (thank you all), so we were able to rent a studio to record a new episode of the Sound Pellegrino Podcast. We were also able to make new scarves and tees that fans had been asking for.

The truth is that no one has forced us to start a label, but if you like the label and want us to make new things, we need *some* support. Let& #39;s take a moment to thank all the people — you know who you are — who have been doing so every single time we made a tee shirt or a scarf, and of course every time we released music. We see some of the same names recur in the orders and we& #39;re so grateful for your support.
We also know that not everyone can afford to buy tons of music or tees. There is so much stuff coming out and your pockets aren& #39;t getting proportionally deeper.
Or maybe you already have EVERYTHING (some of you definitely do). Maybe you can recommend the compilation to a friend?
