I am thankful for Beto’s voice on issues surrounding immigration. From this moment, I knew that his perspective would be essential to the National stage, especially at a time of heightened xenophobia.

In a general election, this is what could’ve been.

I am thankful for Beto’s advocacy on gun control. He spoke to the urgency of the moment & forced dialogue about bold measures to confront gun violence

As promised in this clip, I hope he stays in the fight, for as long as there is breath in his lungs

I am thankful for Beto’s display of decency in the primaries. Seeing Beto lead his community through tragedy with such compassion was truly inspiring. His work of public service extends beyond politics— something so rare to see.

I am thankful for how Beto shone a light on communities often left behind to help tell the untold stories of this country. From Gullah Geechee to Canton, MS, to Black Wall St., he made sure to carry these moments with him to shock the conscious of this country.

I am thankful for Beto’s sincere allyship. He constantly hammered the message of embracing our differences, rather than simply tolerating them; being anti-racist, rather than being simply not racist. This is how we begin to advance as a Nation post-Trump.

I am thankful for the campaign Beto ran, and the diverse coalition of people he brought together. It was a glimpse of what America could be...
