Day 2 of 2: Chhattisgarh DMHP Staff Training in #MHCA
1/5 We started the day with Rights of persons with mental illness under the act.
We had an engaging session wherein DMHP staff talked about what rights could have been included under the act for PWMI

2/5: we also discussed the actions to be taken for dealing with homeless or wandering persons and role of police in protecting them.

3/5: 3rd session included information about half-way homes, sheltered accommodation, Supported accommodation and role of state & central govt in establishing community based treatment facilities

4/5 Last session on case study based discussion in which they had to find violations based on MHCA and how differently they could provide intervention

5/5 Case discussion was followed by role play through which they enacted how to take informed consent, informing PWMI about rights, helping them to write Advance directive and appointing NR.
