I've been thinking abt the families of mentally ill ppl for the last few days and watching entitled, white ppl pretend their stories are the only stories, while these families can't get beds or meds for their loved ones, where they can't help, and aren't heard.

It stuns me how fucking thoughtless and shitty it is. First, to pretend real life written down as the goddamned HIPAA rules are just "gaslighting" and to ignore them for "this terrible slippery slope thing cld happen!" And honestly? Someone said this earlier and I agree.

(and I'm sorry I can't find the post and I'm tired today so not remembering well and am so I'm borrowing from you and come and tell me) when they said these ppl want a "woke" excuse to dismiss a black woman. AGREE.

It may be that LGBTQIA ppl are important to them (me too) but they are pretending certain scenarios don't already exist since HIPAA can be interpreted state by state and starts with "best judgment."

They are pretending evil draconian institutions will go up and that HIPAA is being "gutted" (a flat lie) because that way they can look righteous and good and have a reason to oppose a black woman.

I'm sorry but after watching these ppl literally deny reality and continue to do so, and not be ashamed of themselves for doing it, what other reason cld there be? Finally I hope that their behaviors, where they shout the loudest, don't harm others.

Because those other ppl, whose children, brothers, sisters, parents, and cousins, who can't get emergency beds and care may die while they strut around smugly proclaiming themselves the most worthy of all. So disgusting. Shame on them all.

The worst part is these are things we cld add to the platform no matter who is elected. They are throwing those w/severe mental illness under the bus because of their racism and implicit bias.
