Friends, when you're chatting with a handful of people and addressing them, what are you saying these days that isn't "you guys".
“you folks“ feels uncomfortable to me in a conversation with 2-3 other people. Maybe repetition will overcome that. “you all” maybe fits better for me. Just “you” could work, though maybe implies singular.
I liked @kate_matesic’s suggesiton of “you queens” but I don’t think I could get away with that.
This becomes a distracting part of conversation when I’m chatting with women and keep saying “you guys”. And struck me again watching some older clips of @TheMaeMartin on YouTube. Mae, are you still “you guys”ing the crowd these days? Or something different?
