First suspension of a candidate in a seat where their party were expected to win... could get quite messy. Too late to remove him from ballot paper.

Also, does anyone know why there's such an early deadline after which they can't be removed from the ballot paper? And why the ballot paper can't at least be altered so suspended candidates no longer appear as party's official candidate?
