I don't think Post Malone ever rapped. I think he brought up Allen Iverson to start, said a bunch of "black" things in his music, had tatts and then just put rappers on features. That doesn't make him Hip Hop.
The reason he's associated with Hip Hop, speaks more to how consumers and the media appease to stereotypes and are quick to label things based on optics and not facts.
In my opinion.
Which makes me even more pissed about Lil Nas X because he looked and sounded like a cowboy from the jump but still wasn't labeled as such.

In conclusion, white people can be whatever they want.
