This has got to do with some specific changes which I have noticed since the start of 2019. Maybe this had started even earlier, but obvious signs were being shown from January 2019.
1) You may call @rautsanjay61 as foolish, but he has given enough signs that the stance is changing.

This should be not ignored, as opposing CAB is going against Hindutva and hinting towards #regionalism.
If you read the article, it says #ShivSena adopted this after pleads from Asom Gana Parishad (AGP), another NDA ally who played regional politics before.

@rautsanjay61 at that time went against @rajnathsingh, who in clear-cut terms, stated that CAB will not affect the Assam Accord.
And here's the interesting fact - @rautsanjay61 invoked Balasaheb's memory when going against CAB.
Second point - @rautsanjay61 from "the word 'secular' should be removed from the constitution" (2014) to "India is a secular country" (2019).

The 'woke' @AUThackeray is not only a poster child of #ShivSena, but is also the favourite child of the Left. His mannerisms are the indications that he is into the Left.
And #regionalism is the favourite of the Left, because it furthers their agenda of #BreakingIndia.
