SO incredibly stoked to have this in my hands! @JennSandercock has created an absolute masterpiece here
First impressions thread! Right off the bat, it's FULL of gorgeous art! It's also super well laid out with heaps of recipes and tips right at the start.
Super easy to follow instructions, plus pages of optional ways to do it. In this case, regular packet jelly, then agar water cake for vegos/vegans, then a gorgeous fancy version with jelly flowers for people who want to stretch their skills. PLUS a cheeky jelly shot version
Then after like 8 pages of instructions (you'd only read 1-2, depending on which version you're doing), the actual game rules, plus clear gameplay photos, plus variations. I've literally never read a better rulebook.
One thing I really love is the variety of complexity and whimsy. The games range from cooperatively breaking secret pastry codes (patisserie code) to racing your friends for cupcake ingredients (roll for flavour) to guessing who ate the secretly gross food (flavour roulette)
Plus some are really kid-friendly (if not just straight up aimed at kids/families), which I love. I wouldn't play those games now, but it gives me a special experience to look forward to one day in the future
I backed this on Kickstarter a while ago, but the website is here: https://ediblegames.com/
