Lemme quickly school you on how being poor can lead you to having an abortion. I tweeted something last night and it baffles me how you want to blame poor people for falling pregnant during contraception stock outs
It’s gonna need a bit of thinking on your part but I’ll give you the basics.
This is what I tweeted last night:

Your social status - where you are born, grow, live, work and even your age - determines access and the quality of medical care you receive.
Here’s how:
Poor person > can’t afford condoms, clinic doesn’t have contraception stock > falls pregnant but didn’t plan to > has an abortion
There’s a whole array of reasons why people have sex, pleasure isn’t the only one. Sex can be a commodity.
Example: poor person who sells sex and depends on that income for livelihood. Person has sex without any contraception. What follows? 🤷🏾‍♂️
I see a lot of people saying that sex is a choice? All the time? No. And even if a person has sex knowing what unprotected sex means, you have no right to say that they shouldn’t have had sex in the first place if they fall pregnant and want to have an abortion.
And they have every right to blame the government for failing their reproductive health.
While we are here, what has been your bad experience when you suggested that a condom be used during sex?
