Sticking around in #Dubai for the long wknd? Well, before u decide to hibernate at home & catch up on The Crown for hours on end, I’ve handpicked a few activities that are perfect to indulge in over the wknd either solo or with friends. I promise u won’t regret staying local. P1
1- Explore Old #Dubai on a walking tour with Wander With Nada (guilty self-promotion) on Sat Nov 30 or whenever. I promise it’s not just souqs & the Creek. There’s plenty to discover (and eat), & I can promise, my enthusiasm for the city is contagious. P2
2- Sign up for a hike in RAK’s Jebel Jais. The views are breathtaking & you’ll get to enjoy the outdoors, something we’ve been complaining about all summer. I’m going on Fri (Nov 29) for a National Day hike with Adventurati Outdoor. Join us (I’m a beginner too)! P3
3- Watch Notting Hill on Sat Nov 30 or 10 Things I Hate About You on Sun Dec 1 at the Urban Outdoor Cinema in Habtoor Grand. Gorgeous backdrop of the Marina skyline, drinks & food, & kind-of-classic movies. Doesn’t get better. P4
4- The Truckers Food Truck Jam is back & kicking off on Sat Nov 30 at the Emirates Golf Club. There’s live music, the outdoors, good food, & you get to show up in trainers! Tip: carry cash as there are no ATMs at the venue. Photos are Truckers. P5
5- Catch the hilarious improv performances at Courtyard Playhouse. On Sun Dec 1, there’s Mark Goes To Oxford, & on Mon Dec 2, Speechless improvised Powerpoint. One of my all time fav things to do in #Dubai. Photo is CPs. P6
6- Host a dinner & games’ night and tell guests that they each need to bring 1) a small dish 2) a friend you don’t know 3) a game. You won’t have to cook for a large group, you’ll meet new people, & won’t have to bring up work or the weather. P7
Hope these 6 suggestions inspire you out of the house 🏠 & trying something new. Get wandering! Happy weekend! ☺️ #dubai P8
