I spoke to a young woman earlier who told me she's the only woman in her dept & that the men she works with routinely sabotage her. Leaving her alone to do a 2-person assignments (it's physical labor), and her supervisor does nothing.

She is also being sexually harrassed...

... only she didn't know that was what it was. She said "They be trippin' - always trying to get me to ride home with them or go to dinner even though I already said "No."" I asked if they know that she ONLY likes women. She said "Men don't care." (Which is true.)

She said she had to stop them from touching her like they touch each other. Pats on the back, leaning on each other, etc. She said "I may look like a boy some days, but I'm not, and it's inappropriate and I don't want anybody getting any ideas."

I asked if she feels safe...

...she said she doesn't think anyone will do anything to her physically, but she's thinking of quitting because they make her job harder.

I told her that she's experiencing harassment, and to hang in a bit longer but not to put herself in harm's way. Now I'm trying to ...

...figure out the best way to help her. She lives in a different state, so I'm doing research. She works for a large corporation and has only been there a few months.

If anyone has experience with this and has the time & inclination to advise me, I would truly appreciate it.
