Less prestigious?

I agree we are less well paid but Criminal & Family law are not less prestigious (definition: inspiring respect and admiration)...

In Crime we deal with decisions about people’s liberty and livelihood. In Family we deal with people’s children, relationships and their freedoms. We are dealing with people’s fundamental rights and the most important things to most people...

Fair enough to say that we are all underpaid for the work we do BUT to say these areas are less prestigious... not only reinforces a problematic hierarchy at the Bar but also entirely undervalues the work that so many of us dedicate our lives to (for not enough pay!)
