anyway NWSL is growing https://twitter.com/OfficialAFL/status/1199775929897308161
ESPN has never had a multi-year deal with the NWSL. They've had at least four? with Arena Football. At one point (2006) they even bought a minority stake in the league.
For context, the NWSL's average attendance in 2019 (7,337) was higher than Arena Football's, across more teams.
"most (AFL) players earning between $40-$50k per season. The league minimum is $31k, and the average salary, boosted by the contracts of a handful of franchise players who earn six figures, is $80k."

NWSL 2019 min/max: $16.5k/$46.2k
Tampa Bay Storm tickets in Arena Football cost as little as $10. The season was only 12 games long. Where was the money coming from?
