#swfc Frustrating, again, but I'm taking a lot of positives from that, actually. Much better balanced teams meant we created (half) chances at a steady rate without opening ourselves up. Bad luck would have it B'ham scored on the only counter attack they managed to complete.
Story of the game was: We had the chancES, they ad the CHANCE (see image with xG from @InfogolApp).

Iorfa head and shoulders above man of the match. Reach with what may well have been his worst game for us and shocked to see Lee, not Reach, subbed off for Forestieri.
Luongo+Lee suit that midfield so much, so happy to finally see them together. Both intelligent footballers, adept at staying on the move, finding space to receive in, closing space and passing lanes for the opposition. Like 2 pistons in a well-oiled engine. Gave Bannan space too.
We dominated the game (courtesy of @SofascoreEN; the higher the green bar, the more of play did we have and the closer to goal did we come):
Having late flourishes we're no stranger to. Here's the quality of chances (Expected Goals) added up for all the matches this season, and you can see a clear, blue spike at the end of games there. Despite our concentration issue, we've not given away big chances then either:
The game also saw a way forward for us, perhaps, certainly in home games: Forestieri and Harris on either wing, both very much driving inwards. Risky, but hard to defend against.

This is how such a formation could look like first on the ball/attacking and off the ball/defending:
As most #swfc fans have remarked, we miss pace up front. So could Harris fill into a "Jarrod Bowen role", wide second striker, and instead of going round the full back for a cross, drive inwards and get shots off - like when he scored today? Hull's Grosicki=Forestieri then.
Harris' reorientation was very clear, as he's mostly stuck to life out wide this season (image 1), but today we saw him nearly as involved centrally (image 2) and Forestieri taking up his customary role on the inside left (image 3):

Food for thought, even away from home, with Fletcher a quick outlet after winning/recovering the ball inside our own half, flicking it onto or over the top for Harris to run onto. By threatening in behind, the defensive line of opponents will shift backwards = midfield space.
