Stop saying shit like "Corbyn is our last chance" or "Bernie is our one shot". It's weak, desperate and pathetic. It also plays into the incorrect line that somehow a great saviour figure will deliver us from Tories. Emphasise the power workers can wield if mobilised properly.

None of the reforming governments of Britain, the US or anywhere have been dependent upon the whims of one leader. FDR was forced into domestic reforms due to the pressure of a rising working class movement and the growth of the Communist Party of the USA.

Labour in 1945 were forced to be more radical than they had intended to be by the force of the working class pressure, the existence of the still revolutionary USSR and the weakness of the British capitalist class.

Without these threats to the rule of capital there would have been no New Deal, no welfare state merely tiny piecemeal reforms. So if you want Corbyn to actually do half of what he's promising then you'd best get organising workers in the private sector especially and fast.

The British and US ruling classes have spent decades trying to eradicate working class consciousness. They want to remove the idea of us being working class from our own minds even. That is because they know very well the threat that proletarian class consciousness poses.

Voting is a tactic and a tactic that under capitalism is incredibly limited. Class politics, solidarity and awareness of our collective power. Those are what will win us a better world or even just some basic reforms. Only class politics possesses the power to do that.

Everything else is piss weak nonsense or totally reactionary diversions. This is why I have zero time for "wokeness" in left groups and cringe whenever I encounter some soggy bastard going on about the need "emoting spaces". It's all garbage and it is inimical to class politics

The ruling class these days in the imperial centre is fully "woke", diverse, equality screened, gender neutral, empowered, safe spaced and sexually fluid. You can be any skin colour, shape, size, faith or identify as a reincarnated Russian Tsar. As long as you've got capital.

If you have capital or can make yourself useful to capital you're in with them. If you do not have capital or stand in their way then they will be relentless in destroying you. This is late capitalism at it's purest.

Marx said that all that is sold melts into air under capitalism. This is true. Within the bourgeoisie you get an internationalised, multi racial, multi national, multi gender elite that is freed from almost all constraints.

That is the essence of bourgeois freedom. So whilst the tiniest elite party round the world in an unending orgy of consumption we must free ourselves of the value systems they have placed in our heads.

So our fight for socialism is not going to be dependent upon working within a system designed and built by the internationalised bourgeois. At best we might force reforms out of it temporarily. Now we have to rebuild class consciousness across the imperial centres.
