@rosarii_mannion @SimonHarrisTD @AOTInews @WeHSCPs On friday 29th November, senior and staff grade occupational therapists who have been on national panels since 2016 will be removed from these panels. There are currently no plans for future panels or interviews 1/4
meaning that these skilled and experienced therapists will have no opportunity to express interest in permanent occupational therapy positions in the HSE. We will essentially be locked out of recruitment. This is both unfair and demeaning. There will be situations where 2/4
temporary staff may not be eligible for their own positions in the event that a position is required to be filled permanently. Hardworking, dedicated staff will be excluded from opportunities for promotion, potentially in their own workplace. 3/4
We need both HSE and public support to address this issue and to come up with fair, just, transparent plans for recruitment going forward. 4/4
