if you’re planning on gifting/getting a pet for Christmas please remember:
-don’t gift someone a pet without warning, pets are so much work/time/money and being unprepared could lead to an animal being neglected or in a shelter
-remember to adopt/rescue/foster if you can

-please please please remember that more than a quarter of unspayed female dogs develop mammary tumors, if you don’t plan on being a legit breeder please get your dogs/cats neutered for THEIR quality of life and for no accidental litters

-if you are planning on getting an “exotic” pet PLEASE be sure that you have a vet that can care for “exotic” animals and be sure that you are prepared for the size they grow to. holidays are notorious for impulse buys, do not impulse buy an animal you haven’t researched.
