This week, @Google fired four employees who have been vocal union advocates. Google claims the firings were for violations of their data policies—but no one& #39;s falling for that. They& #39;re silencing employees who stand up for themselves. https://www.nytimes.com/2019/11/25/technology/google-fires-workers.html">https://www.nytimes.com/2019/11/2...
This move comes right after Google hired an anti-union consulting firm. They even canceled regular company-wide meetings where workers can speak up for themselves and their coworkers.
The scare tactics, the harsh punishments—it& #39;s pretty transparent. This is union busting, plain and simple. These workers are exercising their right to a voice on the job, and Google is fighting them every step of the way.
Google& #39;s unofficial slogan has long been "don& #39;t be evil." Here& #39;s a good place to start, Google: cut it out with the union busting.
