This week, @Google fired four employees who have been vocal union advocates. Google claims the firings were for violations of their data policies—but no one's falling for that. They're silencing employees who stand up for themselves. https://www.nytimes.com/2019/11/25/technology/google-fires-workers.html
This move comes right after Google hired an anti-union consulting firm. They even canceled regular company-wide meetings where workers can speak up for themselves and their coworkers.
The scare tactics, the harsh punishments—it's pretty transparent. This is union busting, plain and simple. These workers are exercising their right to a voice on the job, and Google is fighting them every step of the way.
Google's unofficial slogan has long been "don't be evil." Here's a good place to start, Google: cut it out with the union busting.
