An update on how disgusting @Starbucks is and how little they care about their employees : So as I explained last week an employee was sexually harassed by one of the customers in the store. Continued below :
The employee is now being forced to transfer because he makes her feel uncomfortable as he now comes in every day and stays in the store (constantly glaring at her). She was told that he isn’t allowed to be kicked out as he did not physically touch her
So because he tried handing her money and telling her he wanted to buy her and she needs to make love to him, that isn’t enough to tell him he’s not allowed in the store. He literally treated her like a prostitute. But that’s not enough
So because he verbally harassed her and made her uncomfortable, she is the one being forced to relocate. TO TOP IT OFF, she was told that is this is affecting her mental health, to seek counseling. SHE was harassed but she’s the one being told to leave and seal help.
Starbucks directly informed me per my last tweet that we absolutely do not tolerate this behavior and that we do in fact have a zero tolerance policy towards this, but he did nothing wrong and is to be served with a smile like everyone else.
AND that of course if we did this to a customer, we’d be fired on the spot. So if that doesn’t show you how little employees at Starbucks are valued over a $2 cup of coffee, then idk what would be.
I refuse to work for a company that not only allows sexual harassment against their employees, but also values their employees so little that they’d rather transfer you to another store against your will, than to kick out some asshole that brings them in $2 a day.
I didn’t want to say anything at first but someone needs to stand up against this shit. Either value your employees and stick to your zero tolerance policy, or admit you guys value your customers more than your employees in every aspect possible.
