So I’ve been boxing semi professionally now for just over a year and I thought I’d share the secrets to my success in this thread.
Firstly, you gotta start punching stuff. That’s the key to boxing. People say it’s footwork or cardio but trust me, if you don’t punch the other player you’re unlikely to win.
The harder you punch, the more chance you have of getting what we in the business call a “knockover”. This is where you do a really good hard punch with your hand and your opponent gets “knocked over”.
We also test ourselves by skipping. The longer you can skip for, the less likely you are to be a good boxer because skipping is literally the only time we can’t punch anything. Great boxers such as myself can skip for around 7-10 seconds before we stop and have to punch.
To be a great boxer you have to be able to avoid getting punched so you’re going to want to practice avoiding getting punched. Find someone who is really unlikely to hit you and just spend a lot of time around them, studying their movements.
Sorry I was doing a poo and I forgot about this. I’m not actually a boxer but I bet it’s easy.
