Some of you don't agree with some of the things I did when I coached. Everything I did, I had a reason for doing. Running everyone for one girl being late was to get them to do everything as a team. Making the late girl watch the team run was to show her she let the team down
Making a girl bat the other way for complaining made her work harder than the rest of the team rather than complain. I also would run with them at the start and end of practice because I was part of the team.
I didn't have the best players but once they learned to work together as a team and all bought in to what I was selling, they started winning. Many games, not just winning, but dominating games. By mid season nobody had to be told to set up bow nets or start warming up, they just
Did it because that's what was expected. Nobody ever asked what the lineup was because it was posted before they got there and they already knew who was starting where and the batting order. Everyone just went straight to work
By the end of the year they learned that hard work wasn't fun but it was necessary to win and that winning was a lot of fun. Its easy to sit and criticize coaches and their methods but unless you are willing to step into that role, shut the fuck up and just watch the game
