Compiling a list of PoC who know hockey, and can speak to media about the systemic racism that festers.

Every time an incident occurs, our perspective is required.

Thus far, there are less than a dozen people in the entire country.

That's a lot of work. Mostly unpaid.

There are far more who play, and can talk hockey + their lived experience, but may not want to speak to media. Totally fair.

Also, it is exhausting. Having to explain why racist abuse is bad for hockey can be soul-destroying and frustrating. Constantly proving why your presence on the ice and in the game, matters. Imagine that.

Of all the work I've done + all the incidents of racism *that were disclosed*, I always see white people going to great lengths to deny white supremacy exists in sport.

They don't put the work into fix said systems, but will fight to the death to ensure you don't say "racist".
