I've reread this article now and have realised something.

The signature at the end could have belonged to @jeremycorbyn, @RichardBurgon @johnmcdonnellMP @LenMcCluskey and none of us would have blinked. Because it echos their views completely.

This is what Corbyn, his leadership cohort and his cult, supported by his media outliers - Bastani, Mendoza, Rigby. Jones, Skwaakbox, Evolve, Dorset Eye - have been pumping out into the ether incessantly.

I wouldnt mind so much if they were, like the far right, honest about their racism towards Jews. Owned it. Were publicly proud of it. But no, they're the worst type of racists in that they pretend to be on the side of the angels whilst poisoning the public sphere with racism.

Of course, there were many who could have taken a stand and have refused to do so. They attempt to convince themselves that they are not besmirched by "their" racists. That they are good people. That this will all pass and they would have done the right thing by staying.

In 2015/16, they could possibly have got away with their cowardice. But not at the end of 2019. They know that they are standing to be MPs of a racist party, led by a racist and supported by racists. With the odd exception, this doesnt seem to bother them that much.

So, yes, MPs like @NiaGriffithMP and @wesstreeting can be counted on to say the right thing every now and again. And I guess that we should be thankful for small mercies. Because I'm represented by @CatherineWest1 who despite her massive majority, won't even do that.

But after four years, the odd tweet is frankly pathetic.

You had the chance to show you were anti racists and you failed it miserably.

You had the chance to support Jewish MPs forced out by racist thugs and you failed it miserably.

You had the chance to stand up for the Jewish community and your response was a polite "who gives a fuck? Our careers matter more than your saftey, your human rights, your security".

We all know who the racists are. Frankly, we don't care about them. They'll always be there. Corbyn, Bastani, Burgon, McDonnell, Walker, Rigby - they won't change.

It's the rest of you - Labour MPs, councillors and activists - who have let us down. Who have failed in your basic duty of care. Who have shown you don't give a shit.

Yes, you, @Keir_Starmer. You @EmilyThornberry. You @AngelaRayner. You @BarryGardiner. You @JonAshworth. You @AndyMcDonaldMP. You @DanCardenMP. You @DawnButlerBrent. You @andrewgwynnemp. Definitely you Ian Lavery.

You are the reason that the racists have won. Every day say to yourself: "I have failed. I have enabled racism. I have enabled Jew hatred. I have destroyed the Labour Party."

Because our fingers are rightly pointing at you. We know who to blame. You.
