i never know how to word my thoughts about the labour antisemitism scandal because while i am jewish, i am still american and not british, so i’m kind of an outsider looking in.
but i will say this:

from what i have witnessed, i will say that labour has an antisemitism problem.

however, labour is absolutely not unique in its antisemitism problem.
The UK, like the rest of Europe, has a history of virulent antisemitism. Each and every political party & system in Europe has a history ridden with antisemitism—and that’s just the truth of it.

Labour is not exempt from this.
Many members of The Labour Party have participated in virulent antisemitism, and that will never be okay—and The Labour Party needs to do a much better job at combatting that.
I think that much of the labour antisemitism scandal is a result of people within the party doing a really bad job at combatting it, rather than actual antisemitic rhetoric being touted as its beliefs.
I also think that much of the scandal is being pushed by white gentile conservatives to erase the antisemitism on their side, and to promote racist, islamophobic, anti-palestinian hate. They do it here in America and aren’t afraid to do it in The UK or anywhere else.
the thing is that if it came down to between boris johnson and jeremy corbyn, i would probably be on corbyn’s side (not enthusiastically) bc while the labour party has problems w/ antisemitism, the conservative party has a lot of problems with antisemitism, racism, classism.etc.
It is a very similar situation here in America, however I think the antisemitism in the Labour Party is worse than it is on The American Left.

And The UK in general has an antisemitism problem that needs to be dealt with.
These are just my thoughts on Labour antisemitism.
One more thing i'd like to add is that as with a lot of antisemitism on the left, I see some gentile Labour members being extremely disrespectful to some left-wing Jews who have valid concerns about antisemitism in Labour.
^ I'm not talking about right-wing Jews who are automatically anti-Labour, but I have seen this happen with some left-wing Jews. I just ask you to please hear them out, and try to incorporate the suggestions they have about combatting antisemitism within Labour.
I would advise British Jews to vote for Labour, and I would also advise every Labour member to take the Jewish concerns of antisemitism more seriously than they are now.
*way more seriously, i should emphasize.
