Last year (I think), Moe announced she was coming to Lagos. I'd been thinking about some new directions for work and so I scheduled a session with her. A few days before, I had to use the fee for something else, so I messaged to reschedule.
Moe insisted we meet anyway and we had a great chat over lunch. I say this because honestly, that woman loves to share information. She's almost always sharing a tip or something. It's obvious that she is passionate about communication
I think it's ok to not be a fan of someone or how they do something, but there's also that thing about giving a dog a bad name because you want to hang it. That someone has to defend their work process or pricing like I saw yesterday? It's not cool
If someone puts a value on something, it's the client's responsibility to do their due diligence and ensure they are getting value for their money. If the service is not for you, it's ok. Say no and move on. If you feel it can be better, offer feedback.
Moe literally just turned 30. I have a tremendous amount of respect for her drive and her hustle. I know she will continue to evolve and grow and I look forward to seeing her succeed.
